How to cancel Starz

If you subscribed through an app store: CRITICAL: STARZ can only cancel a subscription that was started directly on STARZ.com or in the STARZ app. If you signed up through a third party, you must cancel there, and STARZ support cannot do it for you or refund those charges. Apple/App Store: iPhone/iPad open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > STARZ > Cancel Subscription; on a Mac open the App Store app > your name > Account Settings > Subscriptions > STARZ > Cancel. Google Play (Android): Play Store > profile > Subscriptions > STARZ > Cancel subscription, or on a computer https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Amazon Prime Video Channels: Amazon > Your Account > Memberships & Subscriptions > STARZ > Cancel Channel. Roku, Hulu, Samsung, LG, and cable/TV providers each handle their own billing and cancellation. Not sure where you were billed? Check which company appears on your card or bank statement, or which account emails you the STARZ receipt. Any refund for an app-store-billed subscription must be requested from that store (Apple reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play refund request, or Amazon support), not from STARZ.

Steps to cancel Starz

  1. FIRST, find out where you signed up. STARZ can only cancel a subscription that was started directly on STARZ.com or in the STARZ app. If you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, Samsung, LG, or a cable/TV provider, you must cancel through that provider instead (see the gotchas and app-store note).
  2. DIRECT (started on STARZ.com), FROM A COMPUTER (STARZ recommends this): Go to STARZ.com and select 'Log In' at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the user/profile icon in the upper-right corner, then choose 'Settings'.
  4. Under 'Billing Plan & Information', select 'Cancel Subscription'.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps and select 'Submit' to finish. You may be asked for a cancellation reason during this flow; pick any reason and continue to the Submit/confirm step.
  6. DIRECT, FROM THE STARZ MOBILE APP: Open the STARZ app and log in. Tap 'More' at the bottom-right, choose 'Settings', then 'Account Management'. Under 'My Subscription' tap 'Cancel Subscription' (this opens your mobile browser to finish), follow the steps and tap 'Submit'. This in-app path only works if you subscribed directly through STARZ, not via Apple or Google in-app billing.
  7. CONFIRM IT WORKED: You will get an email confirmation once the subscription is cancelled. You keep access to STARZ until the end of the current billing cycle. Keep that email as proof.
  8. IF YOU SUBSCRIBED VIA APPLE: On iPhone/iPad open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap 'Subscriptions', select STARZ, then tap 'Cancel Subscription'. (Apple TV: Settings > Users & Accounts > [your account] > Subscriptions > STARZ > Cancel. Mac: open the App Store app, click your name, click 'Account Settings', then 'Subscriptions' > STARZ > Cancel Subscription.)
  9. IF YOU SUBSCRIBED VIA GOOGLE/ANDROID: On your phone open the Google Play Store, tap your profile image, choose 'Subscriptions', select STARZ and tap 'Cancel subscription'. (Computer: go to https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, select STARZ and choose 'Cancel subscription'.)
  10. IF YOU SUBSCRIBED VIA AMAZON (Prime Video Channels): Sign in to Amazon, go to 'Memberships & Subscriptions' under Your Account, find STARZ and select 'Cancel Channel' (or 'Turn Off Auto-Renew') and confirm. You keep access until the end of the current period.
Watch for the save offer. The only retention step in the direct cancel flow is an optional 'why are you cancelling?' survey prompt. It is not a hard block. Select any reason and continue to the Submit/confirm step to complete the cancellation.

Things to watch out for

Refunds

STARZ subscriptions are non-refundable and not prorated. Per the STARZ Terms of Use (Section 6.7): 'UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DO NOT PROVIDE CREDIT, REFUNDS, OR PRORATED BILLING FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT ARE CANCELLED.' Cancellation stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the current paid period, but you are not refunded for the remainder of that period. If you were billed through Apple, Google, or Amazon, request any refund from that store, not from STARZ.

Verified against STARZ's own help center (support.starz.com) and Terms of Use (starz.com), plus Apple and Google's official cancellation pages, as of June 2026. Direct cancellation is fully self-service online or in-app; no phone call or in-person visit is required. The phone field is intentionally left empty: STARZ's official contact page is a JavaScript-rendered chat/email/form page that does not publish a static cancellation phone number, and the numbers on third-party aggregator sites conflict with each other and could not be confirmed against a STARZ-owned source, so per the trustworthiness rule none is asserted. After cancelling, confirm you received the cancellation email and that the renewal charge no longer appears next cycle.
