Steps to cancel Starz
- FIRST, find out where you signed up. STARZ can only cancel a subscription that was started directly on STARZ.com or in the STARZ app. If you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, Samsung, LG, or a cable/TV provider, you must cancel through that provider instead (see the gotchas and app-store note).
- DIRECT (started on STARZ.com), FROM A COMPUTER (STARZ recommends this): Go to STARZ.com and select 'Log In' at the top of the screen.
- Select the user/profile icon in the upper-right corner, then choose 'Settings'.
- Under 'Billing Plan & Information', select 'Cancel Subscription'.
- Follow the on-screen steps and select 'Submit' to finish. You may be asked for a cancellation reason during this flow; pick any reason and continue to the Submit/confirm step.
- DIRECT, FROM THE STARZ MOBILE APP: Open the STARZ app and log in. Tap 'More' at the bottom-right, choose 'Settings', then 'Account Management'. Under 'My Subscription' tap 'Cancel Subscription' (this opens your mobile browser to finish), follow the steps and tap 'Submit'. This in-app path only works if you subscribed directly through STARZ, not via Apple or Google in-app billing.
- CONFIRM IT WORKED: You will get an email confirmation once the subscription is cancelled. You keep access to STARZ until the end of the current billing cycle. Keep that email as proof.
- IF YOU SUBSCRIBED VIA APPLE: On iPhone/iPad open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap 'Subscriptions', select STARZ, then tap 'Cancel Subscription'. (Apple TV: Settings > Users & Accounts > [your account] > Subscriptions > STARZ > Cancel. Mac: open the App Store app, click your name, click 'Account Settings', then 'Subscriptions' > STARZ > Cancel Subscription.)
- IF YOU SUBSCRIBED VIA GOOGLE/ANDROID: On your phone open the Google Play Store, tap your profile image, choose 'Subscriptions', select STARZ and tap 'Cancel subscription'. (Computer: go to https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, select STARZ and choose 'Cancel subscription'.)
- IF YOU SUBSCRIBED VIA AMAZON (Prime Video Channels): Sign in to Amazon, go to 'Memberships & Subscriptions' under Your Account, find STARZ and select 'Cancel Channel' (or 'Turn Off Auto-Renew') and confirm. You keep access until the end of the current period.
Things to watch out for
- No refunds and no proration. STARZ Terms of Use (Section 6.7) state, caps in original: 'UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DO NOT PROVIDE CREDIT, REFUNDS, OR PRORATED BILLING FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT ARE CANCELLED.' Cancelling stops the next charge but does not refund the current period.
- Cancel BEFORE the renewal date. Terms (Section 6.6): 'YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BEFORE IT RENEWS TO AVOID BEING CHARGED FOR THE NEXT BILLING CYCLE SUBSCRIPTION FEE.' You still keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
- Free-trial trap: STARZ Terms (Section 6.8) state, 'IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL THE TRIAL SUBSCRIPTION PRIOR TO ITS EXPIRATION, THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE FOR THE SERVICE WILL BE CHARGED TO YOUR PAYMENT METHOD WHEN THE TRIAL SUBSCRIPTION EXPIRES.' Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
- Deleting the STARZ app does NOT cancel your subscription or stop charges. You must cancel through whoever bills you.
- Cancel where you were billed. STARZ support cannot cancel or refund a subscription that was billed by Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, Samsung, LG, or a TV/cable provider; you must cancel and request any refund through that provider.
- Retention prompt: during the direct-cancel flow STARZ may ask why you are cancelling. This is a survey step, not a wall. Pick a reason and continue to 'Submit'.
- For app-store refunds (a wrong or accidental charge), use that store's refund process: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play via its refund request, or Amazon support. STARZ cannot issue those refunds.
Refunds
STARZ subscriptions are non-refundable and not prorated. Per the STARZ Terms of Use (Section 6.7): 'UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DO NOT PROVIDE CREDIT, REFUNDS, OR PRORATED BILLING FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT ARE CANCELLED.' Cancellation stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the current paid period, but you are not refunded for the remainder of that period. If you were billed through Apple, Google, or Amazon, request any refund from that store, not from STARZ.

Direct cancellation is fully self-service online or in-app; no phone call or in-person visit is required. The phone field is intentionally left empty: STARZ's official contact page is a JavaScript-rendered chat/email/form page that does not publish a static cancellation phone number, and the numbers on third-party aggregator sites conflict with each other and could not be confirmed against a STARZ-owned source, so per the trustworthiness rule none is asserted.
