Steps to cancel LinkedIn Premium
- DESKTOP (web): Sign in to LinkedIn, then click the Me icon at the top of your homepage.
- Select Premium features from the dropdown.
- Under Plan Details, click Manage subscription on the left pane (this opens the LinkedIn Admin Center / Purchases area).
- Click Purchases on the left pane.
- Select your Active subscription.
- Click Cancel subscription under Actions.
- Click Confirm cancel to finish. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle (a free trial ends immediately).
- MOBILE APP (Android, or iOS only if you bought via Apple): Tap your profile photo.
- Tap Premium features.
- Tap Manage your subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts to confirm.
- VERIFY: Return to the Purchases / subscription screen and confirm it shows the plan will not renew. Cancel at least one day before your next billing date to avoid the next charge.
Things to watch out for
- Cancellation does not give an immediate refund or partial refund. A paid plan stays active and you keep Premium features until the end of the current billing cycle, then it reverts to a free Basic account.
- Cancel at least one full day BEFORE your next scheduled billing date, or you will be charged for another cycle.
- Free trials are different: canceling a trial ends Premium access immediately (you do not keep it until period end), and you will not be eligible for another free trial for at least 12 months.
- APPLE/iTUNES billing: If you bought Premium through the Apple App Store, you cancel inside the LinkedIn iOS app on an Apple device. Exception: if you signed up on iOS via mobile web, LinkedIn billed you directly and you must cancel on the LinkedIn desktop site, not the iOS app. LinkedIn cannot provide billing support for Apple App Store purchases.
- GOOGLE PLAY billing: If you bought via Google Play, you can cancel from the LinkedIn desktop site, the LinkedIn mobile app, OR directly in Google Play (Play Store > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions).
- On cancellation your Premium features, including InMail messages/credits, expire at the end of your billing cycle.
- If you cancel a promotional plan or a plan that is no longer offered, you lose the discounted price and cannot re-purchase it at that rate.
- iOS App Store purchases: any refund must be requested from Apple, not LinkedIn.
Refunds
LinkedIn's official refund policy: Premium subscriptions may be refundable within 7 days from the date you were charged, ONLY if you have not used any Premium features in that window. Citizens of the European Union are entitled to a full refund during the 14 days after the subscription begins. Regional exceptions: Denmark and the Netherlands get a one-month-notice cancellation with refund of the remaining period; Germany the same but excluding the first year of an annual plan; SEPA Direct Debit has an eight-week refund window from the debit date. iOS App Store purchases: all refunds must be requested from Apple, not LinkedIn. Request a refund via LinkedIn's Help Center (refund request feature under Billing & Subscriptions). LinkedIn generally does not give partial refunds for unused time after a normal cancellation.
No phone call or in-person visit is needed; cancellation is fully self-serve online (desktop web) or in the mobile app. Path verified on LinkedIn's official help domain: Me icon > Premium features > Manage subscription > Purchases > Cancel subscription > Confirm cancel. After canceling you keep Premium until the cycle ends, then drop to a free Basic account with your profile, connections, and data intact. The exact in-app label wording can vary slightly by LinkedIn version and surface. No company cancellation phone line is published for consumer Premium, so the phone field is intentionally left empty.
