How to cancel Canva Pro

Steps to cancel Canva Pro
- FIRST, find out where you were billed. Check your billing email or bank/card statement to see whether the charge came from Canva directly, Apple, Google, or PayPal. This determines where you must cancel. If it came from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you CANNOT cancel from Canva's website, so jump to the app-store steps below.
- CANCEL DIRECTLY THROUGH CANVA (charge from Canva, card or PayPal): On a desktop browser, go to canva.com and sign in to the correct account or team.
- On the homepage, select your account profile (the icon in the top corner) to open the menu.
- Select 'Billing' (in Japan this is labeled 'Contract period').
- On your plan, select 'Cancel plan'.
- Select 'Continue cancellation'.
- Choose a reason for why you want to cancel, then select 'Continue cancellation' again. (This reason prompt is Canva's only retention step. There is no aggressive discount or save offer to fight through; just pick any reason and proceed. If you'd rather not lose money outright, note that Canva also offers a 'Pause' option for up to 3 months instead of cancelling.)
- Optionally tell them why you're cancelling, then select 'Cancel subscription' to confirm.
- Verify it worked: your Billing page should now show the plan ending at the period end with no future renewal. You keep premium features until the end of the current paid billing period, then the account drops to the Free plan. (To undo before then, go to Billing and select the 'Stay on...' option for your plan, e.g. 'Stay on Canva Pro'.)
- CANCEL VIA APPLE (charge from Apple): On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap 'Subscriptions', tap the Canva subscription, then tap 'Cancel Subscription' (scroll down if needed). On Mac: open the App Store app, click your name (bottom-left), choose 'Account Settings', then 'Manage' next to Subscriptions, then 'Edit', then 'Cancel Subscription'. On the web: sign in at account.apple.com and cancel from there. Note: deleting or uninstalling the Canva app does NOT cancel the subscription.
- CANCEL VIA GOOGLE PLAY (charge from Google): On Android or a computer, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions (or open the Google Play app, tap your profile, then 'Payments & subscriptions', then 'Subscriptions'), select the Canva subscription, tap or click 'Cancel subscription', and follow the on-screen prompts. Uninstalling the app does NOT cancel it.
Things to watch out for
- Canva does NOT refund the current billing period in most cases. Cancelling stops the NEXT renewal only; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. There is no proration.
- Free trial: it auto-renews into a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends. The 'Cancel' button only appears if the trial is set to auto-renew. If you signed up for a trial without entering payment details, it simply ends with no charge.
- Canva bills in GMT and charges you ONE DAY BEFORE your stated billing date (e.g. a billing date of the 31st is charged on the 30th, and on the 28th in February). Cancel a couple of days early to be safe, not on the exact renewal day.
- If you bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you MUST cancel in that store. Canva cannot cancel or refund those for you. Check your receipt to confirm the biller.
- Canva for Teams/Business: only the team owner or admin can cancel. Regular team members will not see a cancel option in their account.
- Cancelling Canva Teams is permanent: once cancelled you cannot resubscribe to the Teams plan. If you only want to leave the team plan, you can switch to Canva Pro (solo) or Canva Business instead of cancelling.
- Uninstalling the Canva mobile app does NOT cancel the subscription. You must cancel through your account or the relevant app store.
- Refunds are case-by-case, not guaranteed. Per Canva's Terms, fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law (the one stated exception is if Canva discontinues the service, in which case it provides a pro-rata refund). If you were charged in error or right after an unwanted annual renewal, contact Canva Support and include your order number or a bank-statement screenshot. App-store purchase refunds must be requested from Apple or Google, not Canva.
Refunds
Canva subscriptions are generally non-refundable for the current billing period (per Canva's Terms of Use, fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law). The one stated exception: if Canva discontinues the service during your subscription and cannot provide a substantially similar service, it gives a pro-rata refund for the remaining prepaid period. Otherwise Canva reviews refund requests case-by-case and may help, especially for an unwanted or accidental annual renewal charged recently. Contact Canva Support via canva.com/help/contact-us with your order number or a bank-statement screenshot. There is no officially published fixed-day refund window. IMPORTANT: refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play must be requested from Apple or Google directly. Canva cannot process them.
Cancellation is fully self-service online or in-app; no phone call or in-person visit is needed. Canva does not publish a customer-service phone number for cancellations: support is handled via the Help Center, Help Assistant, and a contact form, so the phone field is intentionally empty. Canva's help pages return HTTP 403 to automated fetches, so the exact button labels above were verified via Canva's own help-page search snippets cross-checked across multiple official pages (cancel-canva-plan, automatic-subscription-renewal, pause-annual-canva-plan, subscription-refunds, switch-from-teams-or-business-to-pro). They are consistent and current as of 2026, though Canva occasionally renames UI labels. The cancel_url is Canva's official 'Cancel a Canva plan' help article; the actual cancel action happens inside your logged-in account under Billing, which has no single stable public deep-link.
