Steps to cancel Xbox Game Pass
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy Game Pass.
- Under Services & subscriptions, find your Xbox Game Pass subscription and select Manage next to it.
- Select Cancel (the button may read Cancel subscription, or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on your plan). To just stop future charges while keeping access until the period ends, select Turn off recurring billing instead.
- If prompted, choose whether to cancel immediately (where offered) or keep your benefits until the expiry date.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm to finish. You should then see the subscription set to expire on a shown date with no further charges.

- A free trial or intro offer auto-converts to paid recurring billing when it ends. The safest way to avoid a charge is to turn off recurring billing right after starting the trial; you keep access until the trial's expiry date.
