How to cancel PlayStation Plus

If you subscribed through an app store: PlayStation Plus purchased directly from Sony is billed through PSN (your PlayStation wallet or saved card), not through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so cancel it via PlayStation account management, the console, or the PS App. If you somehow started a PlayStation-branded subscription through a third party, cancel it where you bought it. Apple-billed subscriptions cancel under iPhone/iPad Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions; Google-billed under Play Store > profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Steps to cancel PlayStation Plus

  1. Web (most direct): Go to https://www.playstation.com/acct/management and sign in to your PlayStation account (Account Management).
  2. Select Subscription from the menu.
  3. Find PlayStation Plus and select Cancel (Cancel Subscription) below it, then confirm.
  4. PS5 console alternative: Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions > select PlayStation Plus > Cancel Subscription.
  5. PS4 console alternative: Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Subscriptions > select PlayStation Plus > Cancel Subscription.
  6. PS App (mobile) alternative: Tap the PlayStation Store icon > tap the menu icon (top right) > Subscriptions Management > select Cancel below PlayStation Plus.
  7. After cancelling, you keep PS Plus benefits until the end of your current paid period; access then ends. To keep it, select Reactivate Subscription before the next payment date.

Things to watch out for

Refunds

14 days from the initial transaction date to request a refund, even after you start using the subscription; the refund may be reduced pro-rata to reflect your usage. Free-trial signups: the 14 days start the day Sony accepts your free-trial order and the trial duration counts toward it. After 14 days there is no refund for payments already made, but cancelling still stops future charges. Sony may reject a refund if you downloaded and/or played a game from PS Plus. Request refunds via PlayStation Support; refunds go to the original payment method where possible, otherwise to your PSN wallet.

No phone call or store visit is required; cancellation is fully self-service online, on console, or in the PS App. No retention/save-offer popup is documented in PlayStation's official cancellation flow. Most direct path is the web account management portal. The official pages reviewed did not list a dedicated cancellation phone number, so phone is left empty.
