How to cancel SiriusXM

If you subscribed through an app store: If you subscribed through an app store or third party, you must cancel where you are billed, not on SiriusXM's site. Apple/iOS: cancel in iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions (Apple's instructions at support.apple.com). Google Play: cancel in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions (support.google.com/googleplay). Roku: go to my.roku.com on a computer or phone, choose Manage your subscriptions, then cancel (you cannot cancel inside the Roku app). T-Mobile: dial 611 or call 1-800-937-8997, or remove the SiriusXM add-on in your T-Mobile account at account.t-mobile.com. The 24-hours-before-renewal rule and end-of-billing-cycle effective date still apply.

Steps to cancel SiriusXM

  1. Confirm who bills you first. If you signed up through Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or a carrier like T-Mobile, you cannot cancel on SiriusXM's site. You must cancel with that provider instead (see gotchas).
  2. For a SiriusXM direct-billed plan, open the official cancel page at https://www.siriusxm.com/help/manage-or-cancel-service and choose to manage your service in the Online Account Center. Log in at https://care.siriusxm.com/account/login (you can create a login if you do not have one, or use the chat/phone options below).
  3. In the Account Center, open the Subscriptions tab. The account management dashboard is at https://care.siriusxm.com/account/manage/dashboard.
  4. Find the radio or streaming plan you want to end and select the manage/cancel option.
  5. Follow the prompts to cancel. Expect a retention step that offers a discount, extended promo pricing, or a cheaper plan before it lets you finish. As of a November 2024 New York court ruling, you are no longer required to speak or chat with a live agent to cancel online, but the on-screen save offers still appear.
  6. Decline any save offers if you want out, then confirm the cancellation. Complete it at least 24 hours before your renewal date so it does not auto-renew.
  7. Watch for an on-screen and/or email cancellation confirmation. If you do not get one, treat the cancellation as not done.
  8. If the online flow stalls or hides the cancel button, use the 24/7 online chat (chat icon at the lower-right of siriusxm.com pages) or call SiriusXM at 866-635-8641 (Mon-Sun, 8am-8pm ET) to finish.
Watch for the save offer. SiriusXM routes cancellations through a retention step. Online and by phone you will be shown discounted rates, extended promo pricing, or a cheaper plan before you can finish. The New York Attorney General sued over this, and a November 2024 court found the process violated the federal ROSCA (click-to-cancel) law, citing a multi-part script with as many as five retention offers and agents trained not to take no for an answer. To push past it: decline each offer and keep selecting the option to cancel or end service. By phone, state plainly that you want to cancel and are not interested in any offers, and be ready to repeat it. Using the Online Account Center or 24/7 chat avoids the longer phone retention scripts, and you can no longer be forced to talk to a live agent to cancel online.

Refunds

Monthly audio plans: if you cancel within 7 days of the start date, service ends immediately and fees paid are eligible for a pro-rata refund if requested. Non-monthly (prepaid quarterly/annual) audio plans: if you cancel within 30 days of the start or of each renewal charge, service ends immediately and fees are eligible for a pro-rata refund if requested. Outside those windows, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current Subscription Period and any fees paid are non-refundable (no credit for a partial period). Aviation, Marine, and Infotainment plans are effective on the date the request is received (or a later date you request), and amounts paid in advance are refunded on a pro-rata basis less any applicable fees. The official help page also lists 1-888-635-8641 for direct-billed T-Mobile customers. Direct-billed streaming and app-only plans are cancelled through the website Account Center at care.siriusxm.com (account login at https://care.siriusxm.com/account/login, management dashboard at https://care.siriusxm.com/account/manage/dashboard); there is no confirmed cancel option inside the SiriusXM mobile app for direct-billed subscribers.
