Steps to cancel SiriusXM
- Confirm who bills you first. If you signed up through Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or a carrier like T-Mobile, you cannot cancel on SiriusXM's site. You must cancel with that provider instead (see gotchas).
- For a SiriusXM direct-billed plan, open the official cancel page at https://www.siriusxm.com/help/manage-or-cancel-service and choose to manage your service in the Online Account Center. Log in at https://care.siriusxm.com/account/login (you can create a login if you do not have one, or use the chat/phone options below).
- In the Account Center, open the Subscriptions tab. The account management dashboard is at https://care.siriusxm.com/account/manage/dashboard.
- Find the radio or streaming plan you want to end and select the manage/cancel option.
- Follow the prompts to cancel. Expect a retention step that offers a discount, extended promo pricing, or a cheaper plan before it lets you finish. As of a November 2024 New York court ruling, you are no longer required to speak or chat with a live agent to cancel online, but the on-screen save offers still appear.
- Decline any save offers if you want out, then confirm the cancellation. Complete it at least 24 hours before your renewal date so it does not auto-renew.
- Watch for an on-screen and/or email cancellation confirmation. If you do not get one, treat the cancellation as not done.
- If the online flow stalls or hides the cancel button, use the 24/7 online chat (chat icon at the lower-right of siriusxm.com pages) or call SiriusXM at 866-635-8641 (Mon-Sun, 8am-8pm ET) to finish.

Things to watch out for
- Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date or it may auto-renew and charge you for a new period (stated on SiriusXM's official help page).
- Cancellation normally takes effect at the END of the current Subscription Period, not immediately, and no refund is given for the unused partial period (outside the 7-day monthly / 30-day prepaid refund windows).
- If you were billed through Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, T-Mobile, or another retailer, cancelling on SiriusXM's site will NOT stop the charges. You must cancel with that billing provider.
- There is no confirmed in-app cancel for SiriusXM-direct subscriptions; use the website Account Center, 24/7 chat, or phone.
- SiriusXM's cancellation flow routes through a retention process that offers repeated discounts; a New York court found it unlawfully burdensome in November 2024, and the NY AG cited an average of about 11.5 minutes to cancel by phone and roughly 30 minutes online.
- Get and keep the cancellation confirmation (on-screen or email). Without it, assume you are still subscribed.
Refunds
Monthly audio plans: if you cancel within 7 days of the start date, service ends immediately and fees paid are eligible for a pro-rata refund if requested. Non-monthly (prepaid quarterly/annual) audio plans: if you cancel within 30 days of the start or of each renewal charge, service ends immediately and fees are eligible for a pro-rata refund if requested. Outside those windows, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current Subscription Period and any fees paid are non-refundable (no credit for a partial period). Aviation, Marine, and Infotainment plans are effective on the date the request is received (or a later date you request), and amounts paid in advance are refunded on a pro-rata basis less any applicable fees.
