How to cancel ClassPass

Steps to cancel ClassPass
- Decide WHERE you signed up first. If you originally subscribed to ClassPass through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel there, not in ClassPass (see gotchas). The steps below are for direct ClassPass billing (signed up on classpass.com or in the app with a card on file).
- WEB: Go to classpass.com and log in to your account.
- WEB: Tap your profile icon and open Account Settings, then select Membership from the menu.
- WEB: Scroll to the bottom of the Membership page and click the 'Cancel Membership' (also shown as 'Cancel my membership' / 'Cancel your membership') link.
- APP (alternative): Tap Profile at the bottom right of the screen, tap Settings, then under Billing tap the 'Cancel my membership' link.
- Follow the prompts to confirm. ClassPass usually shows a short survey asking why you are leaving and may present a Pause option or a discounted/promotional plan as a retention offer (see save_offer_warning). Decline these and keep going to Confirm.
- Tap Confirm to submit the cancellation request.
- Confirm it worked: you must receive a cancellation confirmation email from the ClassPass Customer Experience team. ClassPass states that if you do NOT receive this email, your request was not received, so repeat the process or contact support. Keep this email as proof.
- If you cannot find the cancel link or do not get a confirmation email, open Live Chat: log in on the web and click the ClassPass Bot icon in the lower-right corner (available 24/7). In the app, the support path is Profile > Settings > Contact us.
Things to watch out for
- Submit the cancellation at least 48 hours before your renewal/cycle date. ClassPass recommends 48 hours to make sure the request is processed and you are not charged for the next cycle.
- No partial-month refunds: ClassPass does not refund past months of membership or credit purchases, and cancelling does not refund the current cycle. You keep access until the end of the already-paid cycle (no proration).
- Limited refund exception: ClassPass will refund your current prepaid period only if you cancel and request a refund within 5 days of your first payment for the subscription. Refunds may also be considered for relocation, disability, or death.
- Cancelling forfeits ALL unused credits, including rollover credits, once the account is cancelled. Use up remaining credits before cancellation takes effect.
- FREE TRIAL TRAP: Trial cancellations are IMMEDIATE and cause loss of credits and cancellation of all scheduled classes. If you want to keep trial access and reservations, wait until the LAST day of the trial to cancel.
- APP-STORE BILLING REDIRECT: If you signed up through the Apple App Store, cancelling inside ClassPass will NOT stop billing. Cancel on iPhone/iPad: Settings app > tap your name > Subscriptions > ClassPass > Cancel Subscription (on a Mac: App Store app > your name > Account Settings > Subscriptions).
- GOOGLE PLAY REDIRECT: If you signed up through Google Play, cancel in the Play Store app: profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > select ClassPass > Cancel subscription.
- Confirmation email is the proof: if no cancellation confirmation email arrives, ClassPass considers the request NOT received and the membership keeps renewing. Save the email; there are billing-dispute reports where membership kept charging after cancellation.
- No phone support exists; do not search for a cancellation phone number. Support is chat-only (ClassPass Bot live chat, 24/7) plus an in-app Contact us form.
Refunds
There is no cancellation fee. ClassPass does not refund past months of membership or any credit purchases (top-up credits, add-on packs), and there is no proration of the current cycle. One official exception: you can get a refund of your current prepaid subscription period if you cancel and request a refund within 5 days of your first payment; refunds may also be considered for relocation, disability, or death. On cancellation you lose all unused credits, including rollover credits. You keep access for the remainder of the already-paid cycle.
Verified against ClassPass help-center content (help.classpass.com), official Apple and Google Play subscription pages, and multiple independent walkthroughs. Cancellation is self-serve online (web) and in-app for direct-billed members; no phone call or in-person visit required. ClassPass has no phone support; the only support channels are the 24/7 Live Chat via the ClassPass Bot (lower-right after logging in on the web) and an in-app Contact us form (Profile > Settings > Contact us). Web cancel path is Account Settings > Membership > Cancel Membership (link at the bottom of the Membership page); the app path is Profile > Settings > Billing > Cancel my membership. Note: help.classpass.com is behind a Cloudflare bot challenge, so exact wording was confirmed from the search index and corroborating sources rather than a direct page fetch. Members who signed up via Apple or Google must cancel through that store instead.
