How to cancel Rocket Money

Steps to cancel Rocket Money
- Decide which path applies: if you signed up inside the iPhone or Android app, your Premium membership MAY be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, in which case you must cancel in the app store (see app-store steps below). Otherwise cancel directly in Rocket Money via website or app.
- WEBSITE (app.rocketmoney.com, logged in): Click the Settings (gear) icon.
- WEBSITE: Select Premium Membership.
- WEBSITE: Click Manage in the upper-right corner.
- WEBSITE: Move the slider all the way left to $0/month.
- WEBSITE: Select Cancel Subscription and complete the prompts to confirm.
- MOBILE APP (alternative): Open the Settings (gear) icon at the top left, select Premium Membership, tap Manage Membership, move the slider all the way left to $0/month, then tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
- APPLE APP STORE (if billed via Apple): Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, select Subscriptions, select Rocket Money, tap Cancel Subscription, then Confirm. Rocket Money cannot cancel Apple-billed charges for you.
- GOOGLE PLAY (if billed via Google): Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, select Rocket Money, tap Cancel subscription, and confirm.
- Verify: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle and you keep Premium features until then.
Things to watch out for
- Cancellation is NOT immediate: it takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you keep Premium features until then (per the official Managing my Premium Membership article).
- App-store-billed Premium memberships cannot be cancelled inside Rocket Money. Rocket Money's official help center confirms Premium can be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and that in those cases you must cancel through Apple or Google instead, or you may keep getting charged even after cancelling in the app.
- Premium uses a pay-what-you-want slider; 'cancelling' is done by sliding to $0/month then confirming Cancel Subscription. Sliding to $0 alone without completing the Cancel Subscription confirmation may not fully cancel.
- Most new users are eligible for a free trial when signing up through the app; cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. The exact trial length and price range are not stated in the official Premium articles checked.
- Cancelling Premium does NOT delete your Rocket Money account, and any active Bill Negotiations remain in place.
- Refund/proration policy for the current billing period is not stated in the official help articles reviewed; do not assume a prorated refund. For trial-period or billing disputes, contact Support via in-app chat or email support@rocketmoney.com (Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm EST). Rocket Money does not offer phone support.
- Payment-method changes are only available in the mobile app, per Rocket Money's help center.
Refunds
The official Rocket Money help articles reviewed do not state a refund or proration policy for the current billing period; cancellation simply takes effect at the end of the cycle. Do not assume a prorated refund. For free-trial cancellations or billing disputes, contact Rocket Money Support through in-app chat or email support@rocketmoney.com (Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm EST). If billed through Apple or Google, refund requests for those charges must go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play, not Rocket Money.
Most direct official cancel reference: help.rocketmoney.com Managing my Premium Membership (article 9095189). Direct (non-app-store) cancellation works on web at app.rocketmoney.com or in the mobile app via Settings (gear) > Premium Membership > Manage Membership > slide to $0/month > Cancel Subscription. Rocket Money confirms it does NOT offer phone support; support is in-app chat or email support@rocketmoney.com, Monday-Friday 9am-8pm EST (official article 2684134). The 'cancellations@rocketmoney.com' and '888-444-7492' values that surface in third-party search results are NOT on the official help pages and are omitted. Key decision point is billing source: direct vs Apple App Store vs Google Play (all three confirmed possible on the official help domain). Pricing is a pay-what-you-want slider; most new users get a free trial (exact length not stated in official articles).
