Go to the HelloFresh cancellation page →
If you subscribed through an app store: HelloFresh bills customers directly through HelloFresh (card on file), not through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon. It will NOT appear in your phone's App Store or Google Play subscription list, and you cannot cancel it there. Cancel through the HelloFresh website or the HelloFresh app directly.

Steps to cancel HelloFresh

  1. Go to hellofresh.com and click Log In in the top right, then sign in. (You can do the same in the HelloFresh mobile app after signing in. The path is the same on web and in-app.)
  2. Click your name or profile icon in the top right corner and choose Account Settings.
  3. Open the Plan Settings tab.
  4. Scroll to the bottom to the Status section and click Cancel Plan. On some accounts this is labeled Deactivate (same action).
  5. Work through the retention screens that appear. HelloFresh offers alternatives such as a discount on upcoming boxes, pausing your plan, or skipping a week. To fully cancel, decline each one. The continue-cancelling option sits at the bottom of each screen and is usually not highlighted (look for wording like Cancel Anyway / Continue to cancel).
  6. Complete the short why-are-you-leaving survey if shown, then confirm on the final screen (Cancel Anyway).
  7. Confirm cancellation succeeded: look for the on-screen confirmation AND the confirmation email. If no email arrives, log back in and check Plan Settings, which should show the plan as cancelled with your last delivery date. Save the confirmation email as proof.
Watch for the save offer. During the cancel flow HelloFresh presents retention screens designed to keep you: a discount on upcoming boxes, an offer to pause your plan instead, a skip-a-week prompt, and a why-are-you-leaving survey. To get past them, decline every offer. The continue-cancelling control (worded like Cancel Anyway / Continue to cancel) is at the bottom of each screen and is intentionally low-contrast. Keep clicking through until you reach the final confirmation page and receive the confirmation email.

1-800-733-2414 (Monday to Friday 6am to 11pm ET, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 7:30pm ET (per HelloFresh's official customer care info). A self-serve online or in-app cancellation does not require a call.)

Things to watch out for

Refunds

No refunds on boxes that have already passed the weekly cutoff and been processed or shipped; once the cutoff passes the charge is final and the box still ships. If you cancel or skip BEFORE the cutoff, no charge occurs so no refund is needed. For boxes that arrive damaged, spoiled, or with missing ingredients, you can request a credit or refund via the Help Center or website chat.

Primary and recommended method is self-serve online or in-app; no phone call or in-person visit is required. The cancellation path is the same on the website and the mobile app (Account Settings > Plan Settings > Cancel Plan/Deactivate). HelloFresh's official help domains (support.hellofresh.com / hellofreshusa.zendesk.com) and hellofresh.com block automated fetching (HTTP 403), so the steps were corroborated across multiple independent sources plus the official help-article titles/structure rather than read verbatim from the official page. The exact final-button wording can vary slightly by account (Cancel Plan vs Deactivate; Cancel Anyway vs Continue to cancel). The cutoff timezone is most often cited as PST but appears to vary by region/fulfillment center; verify your own next delivery date and cutoff in Plan Settings. Phone 1-800-733-2414 is published on HelloFresh's own blog and corroborated by multiple sources; 646-846-3663 (646-846-FOOD) is an official alternate seen on HelloFresh's X account. The draft's 1-844-483-7838 appears only in third-party listings (e.g. Elliott Report) and is NOT published on HelloFresh's own properties, so it was replaced with the officially published number.
